Terms of service
Last updated October 23, 2026
MotoPics is operated by Movsoft LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("we", "us"). On motopics.net, motorsports photographers sell photos they took and riders, families and fans buy them. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use MotoPics.
Buying photos
- You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to buy.
- Prices are set by each photographer. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. Your order page link is emailed to you and is the key to your downloads, so keep it private.
- Finding photos is automated: we read race numbers and bike and gear colors from each photo. Search and passes can miss a photo of you or include one that isn't you. Check the previews before you buy.
- A Season Pass or Event Pass ("every photo of me") covers photos in that season or event (or the part of an event it was offered for) that match the number you entered, including photos the photographer posts later. Passes use stricter matching than search, so they may not include every search result.
- Refunds follow our refund policy.
What you can do with photos you buy
The photographer keeps the copyright. When you buy a photo you get a personal license to download it, print it, and share it on social media or with family and sponsors for non-commercial use, without the watermark. Crediting the photographer is appreciated. You may not resell the photo, use it in advertising, or sell merchandise with it without the photographer's written permission. Watermarked previews may not be downloaded, cropped or edited to remove the watermark.
Selling photos
- You must own the photos you upload, and have any permission the event, venue or sanctioning body requires to shoot and sell there.
- You give us a license to store your photos, show watermarked previews, analyze them to read race numbers and colors (on our own computers or through service providers such as Anthropic), deliver them to buyers, and send them to our print lab for print orders. The license ends when you delete a photo, except for copies buyers have already paid for.
- We keep 15% of the price of each photo, pass, and the photo part of each print, with a minimum of $0.49 per order. The lowest price you can set is $1. When prints are made by our print lab, we also keep the print and shipping price, since we pay the lab. Card processing fees are included in our share. There's no monthly or storage fee.
- We send earnings to your bank through Stripe on the 1st and 15th of each month, once you have at least $25 from sales that are 7 days old; smaller amounts roll over. Payouts go through Stripe Connect, and you must accept Stripe'sConnected Account Agreement. Stripe may ask for identity and tax details. We can hold or reverse payouts for refunds, chargebacks or fraud.
- For now, selling requires a US bank account and a US Social Security number or EIN. New studios can sell up to $1,000 a day; we raise or remove the limit once you've built a track record, or sooner if you ask.
- Accounts have a storage allowance, shown in your studio settings. You're responsible for keeping your own backup copies of your photos.
- You must not upload nudity, photos taken where people expect privacy, or photos meant to harass anyone.
Removing photos
Anyone in a photo, a parent or guardian of someone in a photo, or the copyright owner can ask us to remove it on our remove a photo page. We review each request and take the photo down; people in a photo and their parents or guardians don't need to give a reason. We may also remove any content that breaks these terms.
Accounts
Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, are used for fraud, or put buyers or riders at risk. You can close your account by emailingsupport@motopics.net.
Disclaimers and liability
MotoPics is provided "as is". We work to keep it running and your photos safe, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about MotoPics will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell photographers by email before it takes effect. Using MotoPics after a change means you accept the new terms.
